Rita Kreileman

Rita started yoga to increase strength and flexibility. She finds Yoga is more holistic than any other life-style, which she can adapt to her daily life and the dynamics of a continuous changing world.

One of Rita’s specific interests is Women’s health through the various stages of life. Changes of hormonal balance can be intense and challenging, and yoga practise can support as explained by Geeta Iyengar, BKS Iyengar’s closest pupil and daughter. In her book Yoga “A Gem For Women” she prescribes yoga sequences for the menstrual cycle; before, during and after pregnancy; pre and post-menopause; to support the ageing process and for trauma recovery. In her teaching Rita creates awareness for individual capacities with a strong emphasis on body awareness, spinal alignment, mobility of joints, mental clarity and detachment.

Rita continues her yoga studies with senior teacher Marina Jung. She successfully completing her IY certification at Yoga Jivana. She is a practitioner in Naturopathy, Nutrition, Herbal Medicine and Hypnotherapy when she’s not on her yoga mat. When she’s enjoying her free time she enjoys gardening and being in nature.

Rita has taught yoga in the Netherlands (Europe), at the Cairns Yoga Centre (Queensland), and she studies with the Iyengar Yoga family at the RIMYI in Pune (India). She regularly attends IYA conventions in Australia.
