Lynn Holt

Lynn has been practicing yoga since she was a young teenager giving her a deep appreciation of the connection of our mind/body to our health.  These beginnings influenced her interest in pursuing public health and research as a career in addition to her teaching Iyengar yoga both in Australia and internationally for over twenty years.

With this special interest in healing, Lynn was led to India where she studied therapeutic yoga with the Iyengar family for nearly a decade until 2020. Here she assisted in the daily medical classes learning directly from BKS Iyengar, Geeta Iyengar, Sunitaji and more recently Abhijata Iyengar.

Through her regular contributions to the international Yoga Rahasya publications, she explores the deep connections of medical science with yoga philosophy. During her time in India Lynn has been researching the effects of Iyengar yoga on well-being at RIMYI in Pune.

Returning to Melbourne she enjoys long beach or bush walks, the company of good friends and a good book.
