Foundations of Meditation
Yoga and meditation were made for each other. Yoga students often experience clarity and calm as a result of their practice. The Foundations of Meditation course is for yoga students who want to sustain the qualities of clarity and calm in daily life.
You will learn a range of practical meditation techniques to suit your personal needs including breath, body, and walking and loving kindness meditation.
Suitable for beginners or meditators wanting to restart their practice, the Foundations of Meditation is facilitated by Gerald Frape, university lecturer, yoga practitioner and meditator with over 30 years experience in more than 60 meditation retreats. Although Buddhist-based, these meditation methods are not ‘religious’ and can be practised with benefit by anyone.
After completing the course many participants have reported restarting their meditation practice, becoming more aware and calm in their daily life and experiencing better sleep.
The course will be conducted in two workshop sessions of three-hours each, involving a range of techniques and a short tea break. Limited course numbers. Book early, courses fill quickly.
